Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She started working at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since when she was nine years old. Her ability in this area helped her to get her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. In 2009, she moved away from Texas to Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting at KNVO TV 48 Univision. The stories she covered were about immigration and drug trafficking throughout Texas and Mexico. Also, she was often required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She was a reporter for the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason, as well as the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. The show was commissioned as a anchor for sports by Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The anchor also worked in the same position as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. At some point they relocated into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. She also has an older sibling. The family moved into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. After a while they separated, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. It was during a summer vacation that she stayed with her sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured an employment. Antonietta who was in high school who had a vision of how she wanted her future to be, visited Mount Union University to see whether the university was suitable for her. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. Following the completion of the requirements for high school, she attended the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a member. They developed a close relationship. The professor encouraged her to have self-confidence and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
