Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she is in charge of covering all things including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election as well as efforts of two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Using her skills in front of the camera Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company specialized in making documentary-style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. Her husband and three year-old daughter live in Washington, D.C.
